We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll support the advancement and execution of integration strategies, contribute to multidisciplinary system design, manage system interfaces, and assist in testing and commissioning. This position offers direct exposure to real-world implementation, including regular site visits to gather Networking, MEP, and other system interface data critical to project delivery. You’ll see firsthand how your technical work drives mission-critical technology infrastructure in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular field visits to gather Networking, MEP, and system interface data to inform design and integration decisions
- Lead and facilitate integration meetings with designers, contractors, and client stakeholders
- Track interface status and requirements using tools such as DOORS, Smartsheet, and SharePoint
- Identify and manage both functional and physical interfaces between legacy and new systems
- Support the development of system architectures and Concept of Operations
- Decompose system-level requirements and allocate them to subsystems
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups, including design, manufacturing, verification & validation, commissioning, and RAMS
- Coordinate and document system design reviews, lab/factory/field testing, and impact assessments
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- Coursework or experience in systems engineering, systems integration, or software development
- Familiarity with system lifecycle phases and interface control practices
- Willingness and ability to perform fieldwork at job sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with rail systems, especially CBTC, ATC, or vehicle integration
- Exposure to infrastructure projects, especially under design-build delivery methods
- Proficiency with tools such as DOORS, Smartsheet, MS Visio, and SharePoint
