What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kid's Camp Coordinator position at Country Club of Lansing?
Kids Camp Coordinator Reports to: Member Activities Director Classification: Seasonal Full-time Hours/Week: 30 per week (designated weeks in June/July/Aug)
Pay: $12 - $15 per hour
Kids Camp, for ages 4 and up, provides a fun, safe and active summer program that offers a full range of activities taking advantage of the facilities at the Club. This includes golf, tennis and swimming. The Kids Camp program is designed for building friendships and being active at the Club for the summer. The coordinator is also responsible for various administrative tasks, which include ordering supplies, coordinating schedules, and completing all necessary reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to implement and supervise various recreational games, crafts and sports activities for youth.
- Supervise daily check-in and check-out of all campers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Performs job duties in a way that promotes a positive image of the Club
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and delivers exemplary customer service.
- Prefer experience within a camp or classroom setting.
- Reliable transportation required.
- EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of some college course work with an additional experience in providing recreation activities related to children.
- Ability to obtain Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/First Aid Certification before camp starting date.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (if any)
- Ability to perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.
- Light lifting
PAY AND BENEFITS
Base pay commensurate with experience.
