Hiring Full-Time Meat Cutter/Butcher
Company Description
Country Village Meats is a family-owned artisan butcher shop. This is not the big corporate grocery store environment typical of most conventional meat cutting positions. As an artisan butcher shop, we are committed to maintaining the quality of our craft and delivering superior products and service to our customers. Country Village Meats has been operating since 1955 in the original store location in
Sublette, Illinois and recently opened a second location in Geneva, Illinois. This position will be in our
Sublette shop.
Being a small family-owned business, the work-life balance for our employees is a much higher priority than in the corporate grocery world. That is why our shop has more traditional butcher shop business hours of Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and closed on Sundays.
The company owners are in the shop on a regular basis helping with all tasks, as needed. No one in the company is above doing whatever work is needed to run a successful shop. Every employee is valued, treated fairly, and rewarded for their hard work and contributions. We are a traditional butcher shop and pride ourselves on keeping with all of the best traditions of our craft, both in how we process meat and how we run our business.
