What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipeline Equipment Operator position at Countrymark Refining and Logistics?
Position Summary:
Responsible for the safe operation of pipeline-oriented equipment such as Class 8 tractor-trailers, track-hoe excavators, back-hoes, bulldozers, skid steer loaders, and similar equipment. Operator is also accountable for regulatory excavation efforts with other operators.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Performs site review of area before beginning excavation work.
* Ensures One Call ticket has been submitted, is current, and documentation is in hand when excavating.
* Digs for repair and new installation of pipeline and pipeline related assets.
* Aids Pipeliners and Welders in performing tasks.
* Backfills holes, trenches, and areas that have been serviced; grades the repair area.
* Responsible for cleanup of product releases both internal or third party contractors on company owned property.
* Completes company and customer forms for approval to work.
* Maintains and fuels assigned vehicle and equipment.
* Transports materials and tools to the job site and provides proper accounting of tools.
* Ability to load and unload equipment.
* Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area and removes all debris.
* Observes all safety and company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
Job Qualifications (refers to job, not incumbent):
High School Diploma required along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating construction equipment (Backhoe, Dozer, Excavator)
Employee must have valid driver’s license if operating a company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes. Employee must also have a Class A CDL for this position.
