Job Summary
The Design and Media Studies Department at County College of Morris invites applicants for a tenure track appointment in Graphic Design to begin in the Spring of 2024. We seek an energetic colleague with a strong professional record and the ability to teach across the curriculum in areas of Graphic Design. This may include Typography, Branding and Marketing Development, Package Design, Publication Design, Web Design, Design Fundamentals, Portfolio Development and Research. Experience and interest in areas of Animation, Motion Graphics, 3D Printing, Augmented Reality and UX/UI are a plus. Certifications related to the field are desirable.
The primary responsibility of a faculty member at County College of Morris is to provide quality instruction for students. Assignments may include day or evening courses. Course delivery may include lecture, lecture/lab, hybrid, and/or online. Duties include teaching undergraduate levels of graphic design across the curriculum in an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) program, curriculum development, advising, and participation in college service. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency and the ability to teach Adobe Creative Suite software on a Mac platform. Faculty must teach critical thinking and problem solving, as well as contemporary theory and concepts in art and design.

Qualifications - Education
Master’s (MFA, MA ) degree in Graphic Design, or terminal graduate degree in a related field at time of appointment.
Qualifications - Experience
Teaching experience in graphic design or related courses, preferably at the collegiate level.
Industry related knowledge and experience preferred.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and other industry related software. Experience or interest in emerging technologies and innovation. Ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
