Job Description:
We are currently seeking full-time veterinary technicians and surgery/anesthesia/dental technicians for our ever growing and We are seeking individuals that display confidence in their technical skills and comfortable in an extremely busy environment. Surgery and anesthesia monitoring a definite plus! Knowledge of EZYVET practice management software and IDEXX in-house lab equipment also a plus! This is a non-stop, busy practice! Our owner/doctor has been recognized as one of the top veterinarians in the area numerous times! Prefer a licensed technician or a minimum of 1.5 to 3 years in a busy practice. Candidates should be organized, detailed, and customer oriented. We are searching for a friendly and knowledgeable individual to join our family. Job Responsibilities:
- Provides animal care by determining each individual pet's needs.
- Conducts examinations and diagnostic procedures.
- Assists during surgeries.
- Able to monitor anesthesia proficiently
- Assist with dental cleanings, polishing and radiographs.
- Feeds and cares for animals.
- Maintains supplies and equipment.
- Maintains records.
- Completes laboratory tests and studies and diagnostic imaging.
- Takes vital signs and collects samples.
- Administers medications, and vaccines.
- Bandages and wraps wounds.
- Supports animal examinations by assembling required supplies and instruments.
- Explains animal status to owners.
- Educating animal owners on home care.
- Prepares surgery table instruments.
- Completes local/regional anesthesia.
- Places catheters and obtains blood gases as needed.
- Maintains sterile conditions.
- Obtains and verifies medications.
- Cleans animal cages and equipment
- Assist in all aspects of humane euthanasia
- Maintains safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, and complying with OSHA
- Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
