What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant-Probation position at COUNTY OF BLOUNT?
File and organize paperwork;
Scan and attach documents to customer files;
Accept, receive, and/or collect payments;
Maintain materials and discards outdated materials;
Type Court Orders and other paperwork of offenders;
Prepare Orientation paperwork daily;
Data entry into Probation Database;
Answers phone calls for the Department and takes messages or directs calls to other staff members;
Create data reports for EMIF Fund Program;
Register offenders for Orientation;
Registers offenders for Driving School;
Interact with all persons that enter the Probation Department and ensures that they are directed to a staff member or given needed information;
Process and organize mail;
Assist, answer questions, and interact with fellow employees and the general public;
Data Entry of Court Referrals;
Data Entry of all Community Service Only Referrals;
Scheduling of Community Service for Community Service Only Offenders;
Maintain Community Service-Only Referrals and completion forms;
Verification of completed Community Service hours of Community Service Only Offenders; and
Perform other duties as assigned.
It is mandatory for Administrative Assistant of Probation to:
Support the principles and methods used in the Probation Department;

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK
High School Diploma;
One (1) year of experience;
Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; and
Valid driver’s license.
