- Provides daily management of aquatic facility ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of safety.
- Supervises the work of personnel; including scheduling, instructing, assigning and reviewing work, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, acting on employee problems, selecting new employees, and recommending employee discipline. Offers training, advice and assistance as needed.
- Opens, closes and secures facilities at appropriate times.
- Receives, receipts and accounts for various fee payments; prepares related records and reports. Ensures the safekeeping of all monies and safe delivery to bank daily.
- Assists and coordinates the use of the facility for private events.
- Inspects facilities to ensure security and safety.
- Supervises and/or performs general maintenance and repair work as required.
- Plans and provides group lifeguard instruction to staff and potential staff as needed.
- Performs lifeguard duties and assists with cleaning facility as needed.
- Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance.
Qualifications:
- Must possess or obtain Lifeguard certification; prefer StarGuard Lifeguard Instructor and Starfish Swim Instructor certifications.
- Requires two years relevant managerial/scheduling experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, HS diploma (or equivalent), & valid state driver’s license.
