GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of routine and complex administrative/clerical support assignments for the Clerk of Court operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Accept and process documents for filing as required in accordance with court rules and procedures.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of case files and information as appropriate.
- Assist the public in obtaining information and copies of court documents as appropriate.
- Receive and record payments for various fines, fees, assessments, court costs, child or alimony support as well as other miscellaneous fees.
- Work with other governmental agencies needing assistance with record searches and provide information as necessary.
- Explain and answer general questions about how court works. Provide information about where to find self-help resources and telephone numbers for agencies offering legal services and information.

Additional duties will include general clerical work as required, including but not limited to data entry, copying, scanning, filing, sending and receiving faxes, emails and other correspondence as well as processing daily mail, answering telephones, greeting and assisting customers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- The educational requirement for this position is: Completion of high school/GED.
- Related-experience required: 2 years experience in an administrative/clerical field or any equivalent combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
