Rockbridge County Seeks Deputy Treasurer – Full Time
The Deputy Treasurer performs difficult skilled administrative, clerical, technical and financial work involving record keeping tasks and collections for the County and groups for which the County is Fiscal Agent. Works directly with the public answering phones, collecting and properly accounting for taxes and fees using proper security measures concerning confidential information. Exercises considerable independent judgment in the maintenance of transactions to appropriate accounts ensuring that file records and bank accounts are reconciled and accurate. The Deputy assists with day-to-day operations and must be thoroughly familiar with the operation of the office in the absence of the Treasurer. Performs related work as required. Beginning Salary $35,000 - 37,000.
