Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher's to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth. This role involves developing lesson plans, implementing educational activities, and utilizing various teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. A strong commitment to nurturing young minds and promoting a love for learning is essential. Openings for FT 2nd grade & 3rd grade and PT gym teacher.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration among students.
• Create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment that promotes learning and discipline based on biblical principles.
• Utilize various teaching methods, including hands-on activities, technology integration, and differentiated instruction to cater to different learning styles.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff in planning school events and activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant documentation.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
• Participate in school events and activities that promote the school's mission and values.

Requirements

• All teachers are to have a 4-year college degree. ACSI certification is desirable, as is the desire to continue to learn and grow professionally.
• The teacher affirms that, as part of the qualification for this position, he/she is a born again Christian who knows the Lord Jesus as Savior. (John 3:3 & I Peter 1:23)
• The teacher will show by precept and example the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model. (ICor. 11:1 & Luke 6:40)
• The teacher will faithfully attend and support a local church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith of CCA.
• The teacher accepts without verbal or mental reservations the Statement of Faith and the Educational Philosophy and Objectives of Covenant Christian Academy is committed to upholding them.
• Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and child development.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs and learning styles.
• Model Christ-like behavior and values in all interactions with students and staff, and provide opportunities for spiritual growth.
