What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Coach position at Covenant Christian High School?
This position supports the needs of students with academic challenges. They also work closely with teachers and Wayne Township Special Education personnel in providing resources for student success. This position will report to the Director of Student and Family Services within the Academic Advising Team. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Support:
- Provide academic coaching to students that are identified by the Academic Team. Assist with accommodations, executive functioning, organization and accountability.
- Assist with test proctoring for students with ISP’s.
- Coordinates with individuals on staff who meet with students regarding emotional needs.
- Provide academic coaching to students that are identified by the Academic Team. Assist with accommodations, executive functioning, organization and accountability.
- Communication:
- Communicating with parents and students regarding student specific important information such as deadlines, accommodations, testing, ISP meetings, progress and accountability.
- Communicating with teachers and administration regarding student specific information that is necessary on a student/parent behalf.
- Reporting:
- Provides an analysis of student performance data to administration on an ongoing basis with predetermined intervals.
- Provides an analysis of program effectiveness and overall goal implementation.
This position will work approximately 30 hours/week following the school calendar. There is flexibility in how those hours are scheduled. Ideally this person would be available 4 days per week, especially on Fridays.
