SUMMARY
This position is a key member of the Development & Communications Team and is responsible for supporting the mission of Covenant House New Orleans by implementing agency strategy to plan, facilitate, write, secure, and steward grants from local and national corporations, foundations, and government agencies in close collaboration with the Development & Communications, Finance and Program teams.
Required Skills: Writing for various audiences, project management, online portals, use of CRM to collect and evaluate data, familiarity with financial statements and budgets and how to interpret them.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with (3) to (5) years’ grants writing experience (strong writers without development experience considered), particularly government grants.
- Proficiency in various computer software applications: Every Action (or comparable CRM), MS Office Suite, Adobe Pro
- Excellent communications & organizational skills.
- Required Writing Skills: Writing for various audiences, project management, online portals, use of CRM to collect and evaluate data, familiarity with financial statements and budgets and how to interpret them.
- OR any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Salary : $65,000
