What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Covenant Living Communities?
In this role, the Driver will:
- Operate a 14 passenger bus, with two wheel chair positions. Driver will be required secure wheel wheelchairs to holding points on bus.
- Transport residents to and from various field trip events 4 - 6 times per month, transportation may be scheduled during daytime, evenings, or weekends hours..
- Operate the vehicles under a variety of road and weather conditions in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate the vehicle in such a way that safety and comfort of the resident is of major importance
- Perform safety checks: Clean all mirrors, windows, and lights to ensure unobstructed vision and a safe vehicle. as needed.
- Work independently driving to various destination in Seattle and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Six months previous related driving experience with knowledge of roads, both local and surrounding communities.
- Knowledge of all safety precautions and procedures and ability to emergency situations.
- Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written in English.
- Genuine compassion for elderly and disabled and ability to interact with resident in a pleasant and professional manner.

Compensation Pay Range:
Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $18.17 - $21.64. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.For full time employees, we offer a generous benefits package that includes:
