Covenant Village has an opening in Maintenance for a General Maintenance Worker. Excellent benefits, professional development, service awards, and more.  The Maintenance Personnel plans, organizes, and carries out Maintenance duties for the entire campus.  

Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines.
2. Performs tasks such as plumbing, painting, flooring repairs and upkeep, HVAC repairs and maintenance, and electrical services.  This list is not all-inclusive.
3. Oversees contractor work.
4. Maintains and keeps all equipment in good running condition.
5. Participates on the On-Call list.
6. Maintains a safe working environment. Inspects areas for any hazards. Reports to management any safety concerns.
7. Fills in for the Medical Transportation Driver, when needed.
8. Works closely with all departments for all their maintenance, setup, and equipment needs.
9. Assists with the moving of Resident furniture and personal items when an internal move is necessary.
10. Changes light bulbs, cleans and replaces filters, hangs pictures, televisions, and window treatments.
11. Attends all mandatory In-Service training and meetings.
12. Keeps all licenses up to date that pertains to the job.
13. Adheres to all company policies and procedures as well as works in line with the CV CARES Core Values and Mission Statement.
14. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

A high school diploma/GED is preferred.  At least 1 year of work experience with multiple Maintenance skills. 

Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to communicate clearly, politely, and professionally with Residents, staff, and guests.  Able to read normal print (with or without corrective lenses). Must have a good sense of smell to be able to detect various hazards such as smoke, chemicals, or gas. Be physically fit as the job involves a lot of manual labor work. Must be agile, efficient, and able to balance, climb, crouch, pull, push, reach, stand for long periods of time, stoop, lift 75 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and climb/maneuver a ladder.  Able to follow instructions, give attention to detail, meet deadlines, and work well with others.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.  Will be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, as well as chemical and respiratory hazards.
