What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional position at Coventry Village School?
We are looking for a team- and child-oriented individual that has experience working with children, but we are willing to train the right individual. The current opening requires several key attributes:
● The ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
● A high degree of flexibility: needs change rapidly in our school from day-to-day, and a flexible attitude and approach are necessary as the role and assignment is likely to vary.
● Behavior management: the successful candidate will be willing and able to manage students with behavior support needs. This will occur within the framework of a whole-school team approach that follows specific behavior management protocols.
This position is full time, school session. CPI certification is preferred, but training will be provided if needed.
Candidates must meet one at least of the two North Country Supervisory Union requirements below:
● Have a minimum of 48 college credits or a paraeducator certificate and portfolio
● Have successfully passed the ParaPro or Master Teacher Test.
Coventry Village School offers both competitive wages and benefits to its employees. Hourly rate will vary between $17.50/hour and $20.00/hour depending on education and experience.
