What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Biller position at covina Arthritis Clinic?
A Rheumatology practice is looking for a medical biller with at least 2 years experiences in medical billing . our practice established in 2003 , and our office is a new facility with a state of art medical building.
Job duties:
1- Reviews claims for completeness of information and required documents; checks billings information and charges for correctness; processes billing as necessary to include pertinent information, adjustments, late charges, and other related data.
2- Follows up on outstanding claims
3- Navigates payor portals
4- Perform follow-up calls and written correspondence to patients and payors as needed.
5- Provides project-based assistance as needed.
6-Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount and calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary.
7- Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.
8- Researching and appealing denied claims.
9-Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
Qualifications
- Medical billing: 2 years (Required)
- Certified Professional Coder (Required)
- Associate (Preferred)
- Medical collection: 1 year (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
