We are actively recruiting a child adolescent psychiatrist to join our medical staff at our newly expanded and renovated hospital. We are located in Covington, Louisiana, Covington Behavioral Health is a licensed 104-bed treatment center specializing in providing compassionate, individualized care for adult individuals who are experiencing difficulties with their emotional and mental well-being. We offer a comprehensive suite of inpatient care with detox and intensive outpatient program services.

Responsibilities
Summary:
- Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
- Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
