Principal Sales Engineer
This role will start as a Sales Engineer with the goal of moving into the Sales Manager within 3-5 years, as the current Sales Manager is nearing retirement. Further growth within Operations in the company is a possibility in the future, as well.
Responsibilities
- Manage midwestern and eastern accounts.
- Solicit new clients through calls and site visits.
- Work with existing clients to improve service, and offer latest solutions and products. Provide technical support.
- Follow sales projects from start to finish, coordinating with manufacturing and engineering to ensure products are meeting customer specifications and OTD.
- Work with clients and engineers to solve problems, and ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Work to resolve dimensioning and tolerancing problems.
- Market products and services online, and help to build the company's online presence.
- Concentration will be on existing products, but also consider new products and applications.
- Understand and interpret blue prints, technical drawings and 2D and 3D CAD renderings.
- Perform sales forecasting and budgeting.
- Develop sales strategies to ensure sales targets are met.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering or other similar 4 year degree.
- 3-10 years of experience in technical sales.
- MBA preferred, but not necessary.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales leadership roles preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to understand and interpret blue prints, technical drawings and CAD renderings. (SolidWorks preferred).
- Project Management experience.
- Exemplary communication skills.
- Available for travel up to 30%.
- US citizens or Permanent Residents only, no sponsorship available.
