Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and order in their assigned facility, ensuring a welcoming, clean and safe environment for both employees and visitors. This position involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, requiring a proactive approach to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, dusting, glass cleaning, maintaining restrooms, kitchens, entrance ways and all high traffic areas to ensure they are well-maintained and presentable.
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties as needed to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities, ensuring all areas are clean and organized.
- Support evening cleaning efforts by maintaining common areas, restrooms, breakrooms and office spaces through out the day.
- Participate in facilities maintenance by reporting/completeing any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness across various settings.
- Capability to perform basic maintenance tasks related to facility upkeep which may require lifting, bending or wearing a backpack vacuum.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Good communication skills are a must as you will be communicating on a daily basis with the facility's staff and management.
- Light maintenance skills
