POSITION: Table Games Dealer
DEPARTMENT: Table Games
REPORTS TO: Table Games Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
The Table Games Dealer shall be responsible for the efficient and responsible operation of the table games in the casino and shall conduct the games of blackjack played on the tables in an efficient and responsible manner. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Coyote Valley Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Value Statement of the Coyote Valley Casino.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following:
- Provides prompt, courteous and accurate dealing at assigned table.
- Shall meet and greet the customers in a manner consistent with good business practices.
- Maintain a continuous inspection of cards, ensuring the security of the same at all times.
- Exchange customer currency for checks (chips) and deposit paper currency in the proper container (drop box). Ensure the safety of all gaming chips and monies entrusted.
- Assist customer in playing and ensure adherence to established rules, policies and procedures.
- Report any safety hazards to immediate supervisor.
- Conduct self always in a manner that reflects credit on the casino and encourage other to do the same.
- Must abide by the dress code maintaining the professional appearance of the table at all times.
- Shall conduct the games of blackjack played on the tables in an efficient and responsible manner, and shall be in compliance with appropriate rule and procedures as it pertains to the Coyote Valley Tribal Gaming Corporation.
- Shall keep the working environment in a clean and safe manner.
- Must be able to work well with Co-workers/Supervisor/Managers.
- Must consistently demonstrate a high level of customer service to customers and employees, and represent the casino in a friendly and professional manner.
- May be asked to perform various duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Applicants must successfully complete blackjack training.
- Applicant must be fast and accurate in handling cash.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Experience working with the public is highly desired.
Language Skills:
-Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
Reasoning Ability:
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Employee must be able to stand stationary for extended periods of time while conducting the game.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate loud.
- When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud.
- Must be able to work in an intense environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties.

- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
