🔧 Role Overview

An IAM Specialist is responsible for managing and securing digital identities and access privileges across an organization’s systems. This role ensures that only authorized users can access sensitive data and applications, maintaining compliance with security policies and regulatory standards.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IAM systems (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, etc.)
• Implement and administer identity management solutions including:
• User provisioning and de-provisioning
• Role-based access controls (RBAC)
• Authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Monitor and analyze IAM logs and reports to detect unauthorized access or anomalies
• Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to define IAM policies and standards
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on IAM tools and processes
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX)
• Stay updated on IAM trends, threats, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in IAM or cybersecurity roles
• Hands-on experience with IAM platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, Ping Identity, SailPoint)
• Familiarity with SSO, MFA, LDAP, and directory services
• Strong understanding of access governance and identity lifecycle management
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Certifications like CAMS, CISSP, or CIAM are a plus

• Experience in cloud IAM (AWS IAM, Azure IAM)
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
