As a full-time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician at Banner Lassen Medical Center, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing; and sterile compounding. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This full-time, nonexempt position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week from 7:00am-3:30pm.
Pay Range: $22-$25/hour based on experience.
About the Facility: Banner Lassen Medical Center (BLMC) is a critical access 25 bed not-for-profit hospital located in Susanville, California, and operated by Banner Health. BLMC provides 24/7 emergency care, general medical and surgical services, cancer care, ICU, maternal, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and a number of other related services. About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are Monday-Saturday from 7:00am-3:30pm and Sunday, 7:00am-11:00am. After hours is supported by Remote Order Entry. This centralized pharmacy utilizes Cerner and Pyxis automation, EMAR and BVM.
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Pharmacy Technician certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Pharmacy experience, beyond the externship, in a hospital or retail pharmacy (hospital preferred)
- Must be proficient in math
- Must have the ability to lift, bend and reach
- Sterile compounding experience preferred
- Must be a quick learner and work effectively in a fast-paced pharmacy
- Self-motivated, team oriented, has a high degree of skill in multi-tasking, and performs to a high-quality standard
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Tdap
- Hep B (series or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- A Physical
