Front Desk Coordinator – Crane Rehab Center

Crane Rehab Center is a growing outpatient therapy clinic committed to providing exceptional care through collaboration, professionalism, and outstanding patient service. We are currently seeking a motivated, experienced Front Desk Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and has a strong understanding of insurance processes, including copays, coinsurance, authorizations, and benefits verification.

This role is ideal for someone who combines excellent customer service skills with strong administrative and insurance knowledge.

Position Overview

The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient front office experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handles all general front office and administrative duties
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, families, and providers
  • Oversee incoming new patients and guide them through the intake process
  • Verify insurance benefits for Medicare, commercial, and private plans
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and coverage explanations
  • Obtain and track insurance authorizations as required
  • Work insurance denials and follow up as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records, schedules, and rosters within clinic software
  • Respond to daily phone calls, emails, and internal communications promptly
  • Follow and support each patient’s plan of care
  • Multitask efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Adapt to changing priorities based on clinic needs and patient flow

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a medical, healthcare, or insurance-based front desk role.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance verification, benefits, and authorization processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High-level organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Office 365)
  • Strong work ethic with punctuality and consistency
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Position Details

  • Job Type: Part-time with options to going Full-Time
  • Office Hours: Between 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Pay: Starting at $16 per hour
