CCDAEC is seeking candidates for the Prevention Specialist position. This is a full time 40/hour position with some evening and weekend responsibilities. Work in the Prevention Department entails an emphasis on educating the community about substance use disorder and problem gambling including availability of case management, treatment and recovery services. Services address all age groups and are delivered through multiple channels including at community events, schools and community facilities. This Specialist position will have a strong element of communication provision and development including through print, radio, TV and social media, as well as speaking engagements. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: One year as a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist Trainee; or must have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Education in the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related field and one-year experience in drug and alcohol prevention work; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
