Creative Form Development (CFD) provides construction management and general contracting services for clients in multiple market sectors across the Tri-State area. Founded in 2014, CFD helps clients through all construction project phases under various delivery methods.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Experience developing logical sequencing of the work, contract durations and phasing.
- Ability to work closely with clients, laborers, and project managers to successfully schedule and coordinate all phases of the construction process.
- Evaluate and improve scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This may include developing procedures, instructions, and/or guidelines that facilitate the two-way flow of cost and schedule information.
- Manage and ensure that the Baseline Change management process is followed.
- Ability and the understanding to fully utilize the computer program Primavera/Expedition.
- Prepare monthly schedule updates, narratives, and reports for management and client.
- Experience in the review and analysis of claims, time extensions, and impact on costs.
- Perform related tasks.
The Chief Scheduler will support Port Authority efforts related to project schedule control functions for complex capital projects throughout the project lifecycle. Responsible for the effective execution of scheduling functions in coordination with project teams and stakeholders, ensuring that quality deliverables are completed in a timely and efficient manner and reflect applicable standards and guidelines.
Create and maintain project/program schedules during all phases of capital projects, typically using in-house master schedules with one or multiple external parties providing input;
The Chief Scheduler will provide the following:
Facilitate planning sessions with project management teams, project team members, and multiple project stakeholders (e.g., agency owners, user departments, contractors) to identify work packages and tasks as well as the execution logic;
Work with internal and external estimators and construction experts to determine durations and resource requirements for individual tasks to create resource execution plans, progress tracking baselines, and shutdown requirements;
Work closely with external designers/contractors to ensure that schedules and progress updates integrate into PANYNJ master schedules to create accurate actual status and productivity information and forecasts;
Contribute to risk analysis and management with project teams and stakeholders to assess schedule risks and mitigations;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of full-time experience in the scheduling of large-scale construction projects, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Construction, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
This position will be full-time, Candidates are expected to live in or near the New York metropolitan area.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- At least 10-12 years’ experience in construction project scheduling and project controls, with 5-8 years of direct hands-on experience as a chief scheduler, specifically using Primavera scheduling software.
- Experience on large scale projects and State agencies in NYC
- Proven experience in analyzing schedule claims.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat)
- Fluent in English with strong verbal/written communication skills
