Child Care Center Director

Job Summary
The Child Care Center Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This leadership role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to effectively manage staff, engage with families, and implement educational programs that meet the developmental needs of children. The Director will play a crucial role in shaping the center's philosophy and curriculum while fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and children.

Duties

• Lead and manage all aspects of the Child Care Center, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with state regulations.
• Develop and implement educational programs that align with best practices in early childhood education.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and care.
• Foster positive relationships with families through regular communication and engagement activities.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children by adhering to safety standards and conducting regular inspections.
• Maintain accurate records related to enrollment, attendance, and child development assessments.
• Collaborate with community organizations to enhance resources available to families and children.
• Promote professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in education administration and child care practices.

Experience

• A degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
• Previous experience in higher education teaching or administration is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with staff, families, and community partners.
• A passion for educating young children and supporting their growth in a nurturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
