Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' oral health and diagnose dental conditions.
- Perform various dental procedures including root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and preventive care.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile working environment.
- Utilize dental software such as Denticon for managing patient records and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in a four-handed dentistry approach to enhance patient care efficiency.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with legal requirements and practice policies.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and dental terminology is essential.
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care with an emphasis on infection control practices.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is advantageous but new graduates are welcome to apply.
