What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Attendant position at Creature Comforts Veterinary Service?
Our Kennel Attendants are an important key to the care at our facility! Responsibilities include walking patients, cleaning cages, feeding/watering patients, keeping all areas at the highest level possible of cleanliness, and assisting doctors and technicians. Our ideal candidate will have good communication skills and can assist with transporting patients to/from the building up to 50 pounds. For patients that are over 50 pounds or unable to walk, a gurney/stretcher is provided to safely move patients. Additional job training is provided to all employees. All employees are expected to be able to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time.
Employees that choose to work over 35 hours a week will receive benefits coverage at NO COST to the employee after the 90-day probation period.

Additionally, all employees receive a discount for their pet’s care and may also choose to enroll in the 401k plan which is matched up to 3% by the company. Employees may also choose to enroll in Aflac coverage. Shift differential is provided to all employees that work during the specified hours regardless of scheduled shift. PTO starts accruing from start date. Employees can schedule time off from date of hire. Employees are paid for 3 summer holidays and 3 winter holidays (but usually only need choose to work one of each). Employees can also choose to have off on their birthday (which is paid) or to work and get paid in addition to working.

Creature Comforts Veterinary Service is a 24/7 Emergency Animal hospital with AAHA accreditation. We are looking for Veterinary Technicians with flexible hours to join our fast-paced team. We are located in Saylorsburg, PA. We have been in business since 1986.
To keep our staff safe and clients safe, we have a steri-mist sterilizer used to sanitize our office spaces and bathrooms. PPE is provided for all employees and masks are required for all staff members.
