What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revit Associate position at Creature?

Company Description:

Creature is on a journey to create an alternative delivery platform to the traditional Architect, Engineering, Construction Industry (AEC). Creature has integrated Design, Construction, Plumbing, and HVAC components to support the Design, Manufacture, Construct (DMC) delivery platform. We are currently focused on scaling our offering across the country in the healthcare market utilizing volumetric premanufactured modules.

Job Description:

As a Revit Modeling Associate at Creature, you will play a crucial role in our design process, using your skills in Revit to create detailed models and renders that bring our innovative designs to life. Your ability to understand and accomplish project deliverables as set by the project lead, will contribute directly to our commitment to deliver groundbreaking architectural solutions that transform the spaces we live and work in.

Accountabilities:

  • Maintain individual time tracking, ensuring accurate logging of hours for optimal productivity and project cost control.
  • Demonstrate adept usage of Revit processes, creating precise architectural models and renders in line with design specifications.
  • Understand and accomplish deliverables set by the project lead, ensuring the completion of tasks within project timelines.
  • Support the design process with proficient modeling and rendering, contributing to the development and visualization of innovative design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit software is essential, with additional software skills like AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max or similar being an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, particularly within an architectural or design-focused organization.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within project timelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Fully embrace Creature's Core Values:

  • Ownership versus Coordination - The more you divide up the tasks, the more coordination is required. The costs increase exponentially, simply because coordinating things is always more expensive than owning things themselves. Taking an accomplishment and making sure it was completed by doing whatever was necessary, regardless of the circumstances.
  • Accomplishment over Activity - Sheer activity requires just as much effort with a fraction of the return on accomplishments. Completing work effort, getting a result, getting things done. Your role (job) has nothing to do with activities.
  • Compelling Conscientiousness - Quality at any locus in an organization is a function of conscientiousness not, ultimately, of some program or technique. People who are conscientious preclude the errors that lead to poor quality, whether in a product or service. Paying attention to details, seeing something going on, and regardless if it is your job, addressing it, and making it right.
  • Mastery of Communication - Competence begins and ends with mastery of the communication process, first for oneself, and then for the complex interdependencies you find yourself in. The ability to drive clarity, closure, and buy-in with a person or group.
  • Accountability is reliability - The unwillingness of team members to tolerate the interpersonal discomfort that accompanies calling a peer on his or her behavior and the more general tendency to avoid difficult conversations. Members of great teams overcome these natural inclinations, opting instead to 'enter the danger' with one another. The enemy of accountability is ambiguity. Holding each other and/or our partners to results, calling out when there is a lack of results, and doing whatever it takes to get the result.
