The Compliance Risk Analyst II will be responsible for performing second line of defense (2LOD) duties, which includes testing of risks and controls (manual and automated) related to regulatory requirements for the Bank. The position reports to the Vice President (VP) of Enterprise Risk (Second Line Compliance Testing [SLCT] Team). Compliance risk testing is designed to ensure that the Bank complies with various consumer laws and regulations.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions
- Maintain advanced knowledge of laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance related to the Bank's activities and products.
- Facilitation of second-line compliance risk reviews, including testing and monitoring of applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare workpapers and ensure documentation has been finalized for circulation with the VP, senior leadership, and key business partners, including review announcements, planning documents, testing results (e.g., findings), and final reports.
- Manage review processes to ensure testing is completed accurately, with high-quality, and within testing timelines.
- Create written reports of findings and recommendations to departmental leadership and executive management.
- Follow up with management and business partners to ensure corrective action has been taken on any issues identified.
- Perform testing of system functionality to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Provide consultative services throughout the reviews to all departments relative to each review and maintain a strong working relationship with business partners in all departments.
- As part of testing, review various materials (e.g., solicitations, disclosures, statement inserts, etc.) and customer disclosure documents (e.g., Adverse Action Notices).
- Review and revise documents related to the testing team's projects (e.g., methodology, procedures, templates, etc.).
- Assist the VP with preparing quarterly Board reports covering the team's activities.
- Facilitate status update meetings with relevant business partners.
- Provide feedback on workpaper templates, governance and methodology materials for compliance testing.
- Independent research in planning reviews to determine the scope, which includes analyzing information from a variety of channels (e.g., complaints, issues, white papers).
- Assist with the coordination of exams, both internal and external (e.g., OCC).
- Guide the business regarding action plans and how to potentially resolve issues identified in testing.
- Self-starter that can work independently, with minimal supervision/guidance.
- Execute special projects and ad hoc duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent banking experience.
- Knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Written and verbal communication skills, with various levels of management, including Executives.
- Experience in advanced levels of MS Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel Pivot Tables and PowerPoint.
- Preferred: A minimum of five years of compliance, audit, regulatory examiner experience, or equivalent banking experience with emphasis on regulatory compliance.
