Base pay plus Incentive

Responsible for originating member mortgage loan requests within the Credit Unions Loan Policy guidelines. Establish relationships with outside partners such as real estate agents in order to generate loan volume. Responsible for processing originated loan requests in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements, and accurately submitting to underwriting for approval. Assists or refers members as necessary. Manage pipeline of originated loans and be responsible for directing all efforts related to providing excellent member service by demonstrating courtesy and personal concern for members. Ability to work in a team dedicated to providing world class service that will maintain and grow a members relationship with Credit Union of Colorado. Effective communication with internal and external members is critical in meeting key performance metric and contributing to the success of the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. May perform other duties as requested or assigned.

• Maintain service level expectations for member experience
• Originate mortgage loans through internal and external resources
• Discuss loan application and decision with potential borrowers (including what items would be needed to complete loan process)
• Must have the ability to be NMLS registered
• Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position
• Process originated files from applications received, submitting to underwriting, clearing conditions and obtaining final approval
• Deliver clean, complete and accurate files to underwriting
• Communicate effectively with internal and external members
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee will view, have access to, and work with confidential financial data. The employee in this position must adhere to strict confidentiality policies and procedures
• Ensures that the Credit Unions professional reputation is maintained
• Represents the Credit Union in contact with business and trade professionals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Mortgage origination experience preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Thorough knowledge of Credit Union services and products. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other administrative officials and the public. Ability to apply interpersonal skills that develop member confidence, respect and trust in Credit Union of Colorado and develop cooperative relationships with all levels of people throughout the organization. Ability to foster and grow outside relationships with industry professionals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically required to sit for long periods. The employee continually is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position is eligible for base pay plus incentive.
