About the Job:

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and safely transporting clients to and from facility programming including appointments, activity trips, airport shuttle service and other special events in a punctual and timely manner. Transports visitors or staff as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Oversees all aspects of facility transportation including logistics.
• Allocates transport shift activity, ensuring appropriate staff are available to meet planned activity levels.
• Ensures facility vehicles are in proper repair at all times, communicating safety and other concerns timely and clearly to the appropriate staff.
• Coordinates daily and any on-call schedules to meet client transportation needs.
• Responds and adheres to “on call” schedule as required.
• Maintains vehicle maintenance schedules and ensures maintenance is completed as required.
• Completes all transportation documentation accurately and timely.
• Schedules drivers for appropriate runs.
• Drives company vehicles to transport clients for admissions, appointments, activity trips, discharges, and other special events as needed.
• Drives facility vehicle to pick up supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintains safe transportation practices in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Hires, orients, trains, schedules and supervises transportation staff if applicable.
  
  
  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years relevant work experience in behavioral facility preferred.
  
  
  

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid and in good standing state driver's license required.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification may be required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
