Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic.
- Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently.
- Assist veterinary staff with patient intake and preparation for examinations or treatments.
- Provide information on pet care, including nutrition, grooming, and general health tips.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.
Skills
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
- Experience in animal handling, including dog handling, equine care, or kennel management preferred.
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices to provide accurate information to pet owners.
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care protocols is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations compassionately.
- Proficient in multitasking while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being self-motivated.
- Experience in pet grooming or animal care will be considered an asset.
