What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food & Beverage Supervisor position at Crescent Hotels & Resorts?
- Support F&B Training programs through Marriott and Crescent standards
- Inventory for Bar/Restaurant/Market
- Responsible for the restaurant staff schedule, including servers, cooks, dishwashers, etc...
- Comply with all state laws and company policies regarding alcohol.
- Ensure proper accounting procedures are enforced for check outs, voids, comps, special event billing, tours and resumes.
- Support all activities in food and beverage outlets.
- Ensure all guest/employee challenges and complaints are handled in a professional manner.
- Continually operate all facilities to maximize food, beverage, labor and operational costs within budget.
- Ensure staff members are in clean uniforms with their nametag.
- Support participation in updating timecards for all employees.
- Ensure all dining facilities are maintained and clean.
- Ensure all logs are maintained per Southern Nevada Health District
- Report all maintenance requests via GXP and engineering team
- Enforce all side work duties are assigned and completed.
- Administer disciplinary actions fairly and consistently working with Operations Manager, General Manager and/or Human Resources.
- Conduct Service Briefings daily before shifts.
- Check to ensure all indoor and outside signage is correct and clean.
- Communicate with other Service Managers and Unit Manager on a regular basis after a shift.
- Complete Accident Reports thoroughly and communicate with the Director of Operations.
- Knows proper evacuation procedures and execute in an efficient, timely manner.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to be able to legally serve and sell alcohol beverages in the state of Nevada
- Knowledge of food and beverage service acquired through at least 6 months previous experience in food service management
- Basic knowledge of Word & Excel software
- High level guest service skills.
- Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications, follow detailed directions).
- Communication skills (provide clear instructions/directions)
- Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills)
- Basic computer skills. Micros experience is a plus
- Basic math skills.
- Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries.
- Work in inclement restaurant conditions.
- Work safely to ensure company equipment is secure.
- Wear protective equipment as required by the job duties.
- Complete required alcohol awareness and food safety certifications.
- Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work as needed
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
