Job Summary
National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Utility Worker.
The Utility Associate oversees assigned lines, minimizes rejects by checking pipe during and after the finishing process, and runs any necessary equipment.
There is a $1000 sign-on bonus for this position with the first $500 paid after the first 3 months of continuous employment and another $500 paid after 6 months of continuous employment.
Job Responsibilities
- Keeps area clean at all times
- Inspects pipe left on carts by the previous shift
- Assist Machine Tender during string up process
- Rework pipe
- Preband bundles and put in center bands
- Recycle steel-banding scraps
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $18.50 / hr.
