Overview

Attend to the maintenance needs of the hotel to keep guests comfortable and safe while adhering to the brand standard set forth by the company.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. 

• Work with the Maintenance Manager to analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. 

• Follow daily instructions as given by the Maintenance Manager regarding the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment. 

• Follow the policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the hotel.

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with Safety and Brand compliance within the hotel

• Making Decisions and Solving Problems 

• Respond to customer requests for in room maintenance issues

• Following Objectives and Strategies to maintain operations

• Ensure building/facilities Compliance with Standards 

• Adhere to safety procedures 

• Monitor facilities or equipment 

• Understand technical operating, service or repair manuals 

• analyze project proposal to determine feasibility, cost, or time 

• Attend staff meetings / Safety meetings 

• Use facility management techniques 

• Use technical regulations for engineering problems 

 

Qualification

• Basic math skills

• Working knowledge of the English language

• Professional in demeanor and appearance

• Customer Service experience 

• Aquatic Service experience

• Previous building maintenance experience

• Must be able to maintain required levels of auto liability insurance

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to humid conditions.  Employee may be exposed to contaminants, disease or infections. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Hours necessary to perform at the required level are typically 40 – 50 weekly varying days Monday – Sunday
