Direct Care Worker

Overview:

Cross Town Home Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Direct Care Worker to join our team. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our adult residents, ensuring their well-being, comfort, and safety in a nurturing home environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide full housekeeping services, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and organized living environment.
• Support residents with mobility, transferring, and positioning as needed.
• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist with feeding as required.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions, reporting any changes to supervisory staff.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities, offering companionship and emotional support.
• Follow all care plans, protocols, and procedures to meet the individual needs of each resident.
• Accurately document daily activities, observations, and any incidents in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of Direct Care Worker training is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Medication Administration training.
• Previous experience in caregiving or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform full housekeeping duties.
• Physically capable of assisting with lifting, transferring, and other caregiving tasks.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and maintain necessary certifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Night shift

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:
