Crossroads School, in Marlborough, MA is a private, nonprofit school dedicated to transforming the lives of children with autism using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We are currently seeking to hire an ABA Teacher responsible for providing day school instruction for students.

Key Responsibilities:
The ABA Teacher works under the supervision of a Lead Special Education Teacher as a direct care provider responsible for helping students achieve their individual goals and objectives. The ABA Teacher also serves as the Case Manager for one student and is responsible for helping to design and modify curriculum, building materials to support the curriculum, and using the curriculum and materials to teach new skills. Professional development opportunities are available and advancement is encouraged.
Our ABA Teachers will:
- Implement behavior analytic teaching procedures.
- Record, summarize and graph data as specified on the IEPs, behavior plans and insurance treatment plans.
- Implement 1:1 and small-group instruction including leading academic and social skills groups.
- Maintain student program books per guidelines.
- Write quarterly progress reports for case students.
- Work 4 hours/week on a Home Services case and provide parent/family training for Home Services students.
Skills and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in majors such as Education, Behavior Analysis, Communication Disorders, Psychology or related fields, OR
- Experience working with children or knowledge of ABA-treatment of autism.
- The ability to successfully pass CALM training and perform required physical movements.
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving history.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to move quickly and confidently to intervene when protective holds and/or movements are necessary.
- The ability to pursue a bolting student.
- The ability to successfully complete CALM training, which requires:
o Lifting half of body weight
o Pivoting
o Squatting
o Kneeling
o Remaining in kneeling position for an extended time
o Standing from kneeling while supporting student weight without use of hands
o Shuffling frontwards and backwards
o Assisting a student to the floor or descending into a lunch while carrying weight.
o Stabilizing a student in a standing, seated, prone, or supine position
