Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the clinic.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answering calls promptly and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform documentation review and ensure proper coding using ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and other relevant medical terminology.
- Assist with medical billing and collections as needed.
- Handle clerical tasks such as filing, typing, and data entry using Microsoft Office applications.
- Support the medical team with care plans and patient intake processes.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming at all times.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
- 1 years of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
- Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
- Experience with CS-Link/Epic
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years’ recent experience working as a Patient Service Representative
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Understanding of medical terminology
