Director Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the strategic mission, sustainability, operations, and overall compliance of the department.
- Plan, develop, organize, delegate, and evaluate the department’s services, policies, and procedures with the goal of protecting the individuals’ health, safety, and wellness while following all state, federal, local regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all individuals receive quality, outstanding service, and their families, guardians and support systems have a positive experience when interacting with C-NTA.
- Monitors all admissions, discharges, and individual care plans to meet and exceed annual licensing requirements and implements any necessary corrective action for deficiencies meeting all deadlines.
- Completes professionally written communications such as administrative forms, reports, and state documentation and follows through on all communications.
- Leads and serves as a positive mentor and coach for a dynamic, stable, and growing team. Inspires the team to be a cohesive, compassionate unit by creating a positive work experience with a sense of belonging and purpose ensuring the team’s success and retention.
- Collaborates with the leadership team to build company strategy, solve problems, and execute the company’s mission, guiding principles, core values, and Culture of Gratitude.
Director Skills and Requirements:
- This position will work onsite in the Johnstown/Somerset areas and must have reliable transportation to travel between Johnstown and Somerset.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of related experience in human services or a master’s degree and two (2) years of related experience in human services. Copy of degree and transcripts of all academic degree completion must be provided.
- Has a minimum of two (2) years of related experience as a supervisor in a related field.
- Ideal candidates are compassionate, patient, motivated, detail-oriented, and can handle multiple priorities at once. They have profound organizational and time management skills with the ability to delegate effectively. This position requires someone who wants to make the employee experience as equally important as the client experience. The director must have strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals and provide support in their everyday life while having a strong ability to focus on solutions and empower the staff to execute effectively in highly stressful situations. Has the resiliency and grit to build the team so that there are more good days than bad and works in a way that inspires everyone to be better today than we were yesterday.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Must be solution focused, adaptable and innovative, able to quickly adapt to changes and have a constant focus on improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and email applications.
- Must be a team player who works exceedingly well with others.
- Must be dynamic, actively seeking out opportunities for continued learning with a focus on optimizations and creating new efficiencies.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
- Must pass all applicable and required background checks and clearances, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance as well as passes a drug screen upon hire and thereafter as required. This includes a criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP). Additionally, if a newly hired employee has not been a resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the last 2 years, an additional criminal history report must be obtained from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.
- Must not be listed on any state, Federal, or local service provider exclusion lists. Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and successfully complete a driving history record check.
