What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Coordinator position at CS Wind America?

General Purpose:

Responsible for assisting in the administration and maintenance of Environmental, Health, & Safety management plans, primarily focusing on conducting inspections, reporting findings, record keeping, and, assisting as directed with the day to day EHS initiatives at CS Wind.

Responsibilities:

◆ Use observer data and accident data to focus improvement efforts using Problem-Solving techniques

◆ Conduct routine EHS inspections as requested, generate findings reports for CS Wind Corporation, EHS, and supervisors

◆ Assist with Job Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments review/update as needed

◆ Assist with development and issuance of operational procedures and technical guidance to all CS Wind employees in establishing and maintaining safety and health procedures

◆ Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and follow-up meetings

◆ Assist with EHS Management System, various audits, and EHS inspections

◆ Assist with all aspects of Environmental, Health, & Safety: Hazardous waste management, fire protection compliance, wastewater, storm water, incident reporting, etc.

◆ Able to use and understand CS Wind SharePoint sites, Safety Patrol Database, and Safety Management Systems.

◆ Review and assist with documentation changes of EHS procedures in alignment with the EHS Management System (ISO 14001)

◆ Assist with statistics, record keeping, and reporting.

◆ Able to be trained and perform First Aid/CPR

◆ All other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:

◆ Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers, and follow verbal instructions

◆ Climb up and down stairs

◆ Occasional work in extreme weather conditions

◆ Must possess a valid a driver's license

Education, Training, and Skills Required:

◆ A high school diploma or general education degree (GED),

◆ 2 years related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; manufacturing experience preferred.

◆ bachelor's degree in the following (Preferred): Environmental Science, Safety or related field.

◆ Must demonstrate the following competencies:

◆ Natural ability to lead

◆Flexible and able to promote and facilitate change

◆Strong communication skills

◆ Desire to learn and transfer skills or knowledge

◆Excellent work ethic

◆ System skills – Microsoft Office Suites functionality

◆ Safety and Environment Certifications – Preferred

◆ Desire and drive to learn in the field of occupational, industrial health, Safety and Environment

◆ Travel may be required to support local factory needs (<10% travel)

◆ Project management skills

◆ Experience speaking in front of groups/teaching/leading

◆ Knowledge: Health and Safety regulations at state and national levels and sustainability practices for improving EHS performance metrics

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
