What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lean Manager position at CS Wind America?

SUMMARY

Process Excellence will be available for the organization to drive, facilitate, implement and/or support improvement projects as well as provide training and support in various tools in the world of business process management, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.

Pay begins at 100,000.00 or commensurate with demonstrated experience.

Key Products / responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Responsible for creating and maintaining the Factory Process Excellence strategy and Kaizen culture at the facility through innovation projects.

2. Responsible for policy deployment methodology implementation in factory.

3. Implementation and execution of BPM backbone.

4. Ensure best practice sharing.

5. Budget accountability

6. BPM and Lean Six Sigma training, support, execution and advice

7. Lean conversion, Daily Management, TPM, SMED, shop floor Six Sigma, Lean supply chain.

8. Participation in Lean community within PBU

9. All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job supervises all Lean subordinates.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.

2. Three-five years of engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Process/ project management experience required.

3. Proven track record working with Lean and Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt certification).

4. Strong proficiency of personal computers and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access) and ERP systems (e.g., AS400 – XA/Mapics).

5. Able to facilitate change management.

6. Able to demonstrate successful management directly and through others.

7. Able to effectively coach subordinates on reaching performance goals.

8. Ability to read and interpret documents in English.

9. Good communication skills.

10. Excellent work ethics, dependability and dedication to Team/Company.

11. Willingness and desire to learn.

12. High degree of adaptability and flexibility.

13. Proactive and enthusiastic.

14. Service minded and open minded.

5. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

MINIMUM TRAINING GUIDELINES

1. Three-week basic training schedule at Pueblo Community College.

2. Green Belt certification in Lean and Six Sigma methodology

WORKPLACE HAZARD ASSESSMENT

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

Employees are responsible to perform duties related to generating and storing hazardous waste in satellite accumulation areas. Must remain within regulatory and internal compliance when using, handling, or segregating hazardous materials and waste.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
