Armed Security Officer

As an armed school security officer, your role involves ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors on school premises while possessing the capability to use firearms if necessary. 1. **Security Patrols**: Conduct regular patrols of the school grounds to deter and detect any security threats.

2. **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents using appropriate force if required.

3. **Access Control**: Monitor entry points and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.

4. **Weapon Handling**: Safely carry and handle firearms in compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.

5. **Incident Reporting**: Document incidents, observations, and security activities in detailed reports.

6. **Collaboration with Law Enforcement**: Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies during serious incidents or emergencies.

7. **Crowd Control**: Manage large gatherings or events within the school premises while maintaining order and security.

8. **Training and Education**: Provide security awareness training for school staff, students, and visitors.

9. **De-escalation and Conflict Resolution**: Resolve conflicts or disputes using verbal de-escalation techniques before resorting to the use of force.

Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:

- NJ carry permit
- Strong background in security and conflict management
- First aid, CPR, and law enforcement certifications preferred
- Experience in surveillance, military, or related fields
- Familiarity with CCTV and loss prevention techniques
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
