Summary Description
CSI’s Financial Analyst assists the National Finance & Development Manager and Finance Manager in implementing CSI’s development and preservation efforts in all regions. The Financial Analyst analyzes and assesses the financial health of all CSI properties, prepares financial models for new development projects and refinancing/renovation opportunities for existing CSI properties. This position will work closely with all members of the CSI Development, Management, and Facilities teams on refinancing, renovation and new developments.
Responsibilities
- Analyze & assess financial information of the CSI portfolio of properties.
- Coordinate with all levels of management to develop strategies to improve the financial health of the CSI portfolio of properties.
- Interpret and apply corporate financial policies, governmental legislation, and accounting theory.
- Provide project financial feasibility analysis for new development opportunities and refinancing/renovation opportunities.
- Prepare detailed and accurate financial forecasts using LIHTC, HUD, and other state and federal funding.
- Oversee and financially manage projects from initial close through construction and final close.
- Secure debt and equity financing for each of the projects, negotiate financing documents and close project financing.
- Work very closely with existing CSI staff during all project phases.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience in multi-family real estate accounting or finance preferred.
- Experience with LIHTC, HUD, or other federal funding a plus.
- Strong written communication skills – effectively expresses ideas verbally and in written form, present numerical data accurately and effectively
