What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor & Employment Litigation Paralegal position at CSK?
Our Tampa office is hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support our Labor & Employment team. This role involves handling a variety of electronic case files, assisting attorneys with document management and relative case material, performing legal research, drafting pleadings, preparing exhibits for hearings and trials, plus supporting the attorney in all aspects of the file. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in labor and employment litigation, with a proven track record in meeting their billable requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, etc.
- Managing electronic case files
- Coordinating with experts and witnesses
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries & medical summaries
- Assisting with trial preparation, including preparing trial binders and exhibits
- Contemporaneously billing their time in accordance with firm requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment law
- Must be a Florida Registered Paralegal, NALA Certified Paralegal or have a degree from an accredited Paralegal program
- Proficiency with legal research tools and software
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
