Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team at CST Industries. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting and distributing materials, tools, equipment and products as well as preparing product for shipments by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials and items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Physically inspect incoming materials and items to ensure conformance with SCT Quality standards.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
- Weighs and counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Operate forklift and overhead cranes.
- Computer usage for records entry.
- Prepares parcels for mailing and maintains inventory records.
- Loads product for shipment.
- Maintain a safe work environment through following safety procedures and housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing techniques including warehousing, CNC, forming, welding, assembly, coating, logistics and inspection techniques.
- Must have mechanical ability, an eye for abnormalities, and aptitude to detail.
- Must be able to interface with others, internally and externally, in a professional manner.
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as individually.
Computer Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Outlook and D365 database.
Physical Demands:
- Use of hands/fingers to feel, must be able to operate computers, machinery, and dimensional equipment.
- Sit and stand, must be able to work at a stationary desk that may require sitting or standing.
- Standing on concrete floors and uneven terrain with be required frequently.
- Stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
- Lift and carry weights of 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently and occasionally with aid of others or lifting devices, 100 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Noisy - ear protection required
- Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned work areas.
- Busy forklift traffic zones.
- Fast paced.
- Frequent exposure to vibration, fumes, or airborne particles and/or chemicals.
- Some exposure to weather conditions.
- Works near moving mechanical parts.
