What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Design Engineer position at CST Industries, Inc.?
Position Summary
Perform structural analysis and design of bolted metal tanks, and various options. Responsible for engineering design; supporting sales, drafting and manufacturing on quotes and orders. Also required to review drawings and/or provide design calculations as needed. Assist the engineers on other CST product lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform liquid bolted tank design, tank foundations, and structural calculations.
- Review and approve drawings and structural design calculations.
- Perform designs for sales requests and sales orders according to the schedule.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school.
- Professional Engineering license in structural or civil engineering
- If recent graduate, 3.0 minimum GPA required.
- Willing to travel 10% of time
- Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
- Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment
- High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office 365
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Modern office is well equipped with essential facilities.
- Typical workdays are 8 hours minimum.
- Some overtime to be expected.
