About the Role - As Manager of Accounting and Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day finances and operations of the company by building on and designing, implementing, and executing the financial, operating and HR processes of the organization. You will work closely with the CCO and employees ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-operations and finances of the company with the goal of successfully positioning the company for future growth and you will play a vital role in the company leading critical areas in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, performs financial statement analysis. The ideal candidate will possess an ownership mentality to solve problems independently and to completion.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accounting and bookkeeping function of the company.
- Compile monthly financial statements.
- Assist the CCO with the management of the accounting department, including work distribution and problem-solving.
- Lead the integration and maintenance of new and existing accounting systems and processes.
- Drive close cycle automation and process improvement initiatives intended to condense the close cycle, reduce manual work, and improve consistency and standardization of processes.
- Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transitions.
- Invoicing, Collections and Receivables - Work with the business development and administrative staff to oversee receivables function of the company ensuring that invoicing is accurate, and receivables are collected in a timely fashion.
- Manage expenses and operational assets and payables of the company.
- Perform all basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, month end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, rent roll, inventory roll forward and fixed assets and margin analysis; prepare supporting schedules for financial statements preparation.
- Automate and maintain an effective electronic filing system for all of the financial records of the company (including expense and revenue and other documentation).
- Manage and oversee the departments managing vendors and independent contractors.
- Manage and maintain travel and other electronic platforms for the organization.
- Working in conjunction with an HR / Staffing to manage the books for all staffing and independent contractors.
- Oversee HR department and report to the CCO.
- 50% of travel required to audit off site Cubework locations.
