The position requires that the individual be able to operate a company-provided forklift, assist in running the bottling line for water production, regenerate portable exchange tanks, shipping, receiving, and inventory. The ideal candidate will be ready, willing and able to showcase the capability to learn quickly, complete daily tasks, take direction, and work well in a team setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Ability to operate carts, dollies, forklifts, lift gates, hand trucks and hand tools.
- Ensure the pick list is created for the Field Technician and Installer to install or swap out the next day.
- Filling 3’and 5’ gallon water bottles in order to maintain a minimum of a 3-day float.
- Assist in cleaning and fixing coolers to ensure that both the sales and delivery teams have the quantities of used coolers required to meet the daily route and sales requirements.
- Manage the daily shut down and clean-up of the production area and in some circumstances, may be required to bring in trucks for shutdown.
- Load water, salt, chemicals, and coolers on route trucks and in store fronts based on business demands.
- Read and comprehend material safety sheets as it pertains to testing and production chemical use.
- Prepare equipment for installations.
- Stage bottling area to begin daily production run and test water at startup.
- Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards wearing all safety equipment as required by the position.
- Responsible for general warehouse maintenance including cleaning, putting away freight, and ensuring that all equipment is organized within the warehouse.
- Maintain the daily International Bottle Water Association and the National Sanitation Foundation required paperwork and testing.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to work overtime and some Saturdays whenever needed to meet production deadlines.
- Possess the ability to complete daily, weekly and monthly inventory reporting.
- Must abide by all company policies as contained in the company employee handbook.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This position requires knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of geographical area where the position is located.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- At least one year working in a warehouse and using warehouse equipment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be willing to participate in Culligan’s pre-employment background and drug screening process.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced busy environment.
